Squaretail Rods was started by Wyatt Howe, a Registered Maine Guide who specialized in fly fishing trips on remote ponds for large native brook trout. After some time searching for the perfect fly rod, he decided to build his own. 

Wyatt ended up using a process which perfectly tailored a rod to himself and later this process was used for others. Squaretail Rods are all built using this process, ensuring the most balanced, comfortable rods on the market which will last a lifetime and cast like a dream.
